Anticipation...

Only a couple more days to tie up loose ends, make final preparations and finish packing my luggage. I am getting really excited about our trip. Dr. Luehrman and I met yesterday to make sure we had everything ready to go for this year's departure.

We are planning on meeting at the airport at 2:00pm where we get everyone together and say our goodbyes to friends and family members. I am sure that we will all be excited and a little nervous as we strike out on our Great Adventure.

I checked the weather today and it looks like we could have some pretty cool mornings and mid 60's in the afternoon. But today Paris is in the 70's. So I am making sure I have layers of clothing, a light raincoat and an umbrella packed. Scarves are popular in Europe at this time of year so I have a couple of my favorite scarves packed to keep me warm in the morning. Plus I love adding a splash of fun color to my outfits! I also want to be sure and have comfortable shoes because we are going to do a lot of walking too. I've been to the hairdresser so I have a cute short bob that will be easy to style and quick to dry.

Yesterday I called my bank and made them aware of my travel plans and I also made sure I had my passport and other identification ready to go. I wouldn't want to leave those at home! Once I get everything squared away, I will weigh my luggage to make sure it meets the airline standards, but mostly to be sure that I can handle it in the airports and train stations.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the airport! Are you getting excited? I am!
